Detoxification from Chronic Pain Medications

It’s not fair. You are taking lots of pain medicines and yet you are still in pain–all day, every day. As if that’s not enough, you have to suffer through all the side effects of the drugs you are taking–the fatigue, insomnia, constipation, irritability and foggy thinking. It comes and goes but it never really goes away.  And what is worse is that you know you are hooked on drugs.  You need them just to feel half-way normal.  Sometimes you have to convince your doctor to increase the dose or, even worse, get some from friends.

If you want to stop this insanity, call us at the Coleman Institute.  We have successfully detoxified over 300 chronic pain patients and we have found that usually their pain actually goes down when they are off all the opiates. Their brain goes back to normal and is able to start producing its own natural painkillers–endorphins.  At this point, they finally start feeling alive again and are able to get back to their old selves and lives.

Our accelerated detox method usually completes the detoxification in only three or four days. Patients are sedated throughout the entire process and they have reported that it was a very comfortable procedure. More importantly, this process is safe and very affordable.

After the detox is completed, we usually recommend a Naltrexone implant. This implant seems to decrease pain and help the brain heal more quickly.

Back a few years ago I was having chronic pain in my left leg. After a year of going from doctor to doctor and eating pain medication like candy was finally diagnose with a disease called Avascular Necrosis. I had a core decompressing surgery done to correct the problem but little did I know my problems were just starting. For the next 3 to 4 years I struggled with a major addiction problem in the end I was taking 200 to 300 mg of morphine per day. My wife bless her heart found the Coleman institute on the internet and set me up for detox and an implant. The detox compared to cold turkey was a breeze and the implant worked for me it was nothing short of a miracle. No cravings and I started feeling like my old self I thing. I had been in a drug haze so long I forgot how to feel. The implant allowed me a window of opportunity to get a handle on thinks without the cravings and withdrawals guiding my decisions it was great. But the story continues because in January of this year my hip pain return worse than before so I had to have an implant placed in my hip joint to allow blood flow to my hip. (Here is where I got real stupid) instead of informing the Doctor about my addiction problem I thought I could handle it and I was wrong. All the old behaviors started back up (once and addict always and addict). So I tried getting clean myself with Methadone this was the 2nd big mistake I should have researched this, the withdraw from it to me is 10 time worse than morphine. To make a long story short I am currently on my 18th day with no methadone and I will be back at the Coleman Institute in 2 weeks to get my second implant. The implant is the best thing I have seen for addiction and thank god for all the people there.
