Benzodiazepine Detox from The Coleman Institute
Innovative Withdrawal Therapy for Xanax, Valium and Klonopin
You didn’t mean to get hooked on Xanax or any one of the other benzodiazepines. You took it to calm your nerves and anxiety; to stop your panic attacks. You took it because your doctor recommended it…and it worked, at first. But, before you knew it, you were taking more and more. It wasn’t working for you any more, and try as you may, you could not stop it–even by trying to wean down very, very slowly. You know the rest of the story: You try so many different ways to get off these drugs but nothing works. The medications have a grip on your mind, your body and your soul. So here you are, looking for help to stop your benzodiazepine dependence. We are glad you found us. The Coleman Institute can help.
The Coleman Institute now offers advanced medical treatment for addiction to benzodiazepines like Xanax. A leader in the field of benzodiazepine addiction, Dr. Coleman’s method includes using Flumazenil to flush the benzodiazepines out of your system quickly and to reduce cravings. Patients are usually able to complete the detox as an outpatient in about seven days, instead of the weeks or months of turmoil they go through, trying to self-detoxify.
By using low doses of Flumazenil, patients experience no panic attacks, no insomnia, and no falling apart at the seams. Instead, they are calm and almost peaceful as the benzodiazepines are pushed completely out of their systems.

Ten months ago today, I entered Retreat Hospital under the care of Dr. Coleman. I was physically weak from the narcotic detox process but, more importantly, I was completely beaten by drugs. I was depending on Klonipin and Valium also. I couldn’t imagine months and months of tapering off of a drug I wasn’t sure I couldn’t live without. Something was wrong though. These drugs I so depended on were killing me. My gut had all but shut down.
A glimmer of hope was with me. The fear of suffering on and the fear of death forced me to take a change. Maybe by blind faith or maybe an intuitive knowing, I gave Dr. Coleman consent to treat this addiction with a drug called Flumazenil.
The nurses greeted me and the IV drip began. I had no idea what to expect. I remember a brief terrific headache. I remember a general feeling of calm and peace wash over me. Before long, it was time to go home. I had no craving whatsoever.
I learned to tolerate continued pain and anxiety with the help of other tools and people. When I got home from inpatient, I immediately phoned someone I knew in recovery and asked for a ride. I became willing.
The time since has not been without difficulty. I credit this success so far to 12-step work and the continued support of Dr. Coleman and others in his field. Today, my focus is on the writing of a new resume. I am finally potentially employable again. My hope is not blind faith now. It is based on the knowledge that I am never alone. I no longer am looking to a drug to feel better. My pain is inevitable; my suffering is optional.
